Year of kit manufacture
I have a Mk3, on them they welded the kit no. on the inside of the front top bonnet x member. (Between the headlights)
From previous threads on the subject, if your lucky someone has stamped a plate and riveted in the engine bay somewhere.
But as all Scamps were build differently, you might be lucky, you might not.
My V5 chassis no. is the kit no.
happy hunting

Re: cant post?
Hope you don't mind but here is a link to your thread.

One thing I did spot was the non folding front screen, that will narrow things down a bit as it's a bit later then mine.

Re: cant post?
It's nice to read positive things about Scamps written by mini enthusiasts. It's funny how things change. Not so many years ago Scamps would have been actively encouraged not to turn up to mini shows and Miniworld barely acknowledged they existed.

Q512 AFG: For sale by G Harris, Scampers Summer 90. Forum member Woody9067 (sorry, don't know his full name) had some repairs done by John Medhurst, but was unable to complete the restoration due to a house move, so sold it on e-Bay 12/10.
James, I'll second that. BTW the current issue of Mini Magazine has a picture of two Scamps at Brooklands!

I've had two different Mini Clubs ask me to bring a Scamp along to their meetings once I get one back on the road, certainly seem to be more popular.
The rules have changed over the years but basically it depends on how much of the original donor vehicle is kept. Before the introduction of the SVA in the late '90's a lot of it seemed to have been down to how the DVLA bod dealing with the registration felt on that particular day but now there is a formal points system https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/overviewrhos wrote:how come some have age related plates and others like mine is a Q
