Potential show/meet in Devon

Hi all,

Every year my Dad holds an event that raises money for Local charities. It has mainly been focused on agricultural equipment in the past years. However i have always put some of my own cars and projects on display.

My Dad has suggested that we put up this thread and see if we can generate enough interest to hold a Mini Scamp gathering at the show. We Have 2 Scamps at the moment and currently looking at a 3rd (Mine is a project, Iam jealous of my Dads as its on the road and i want to convoy around with him). Im not even entirely sure how many Scamp owners there are in Devon.

Some of us also tend to visit classic car and Steam Fair events (Beer Tent )
so it could be combined with your normal event,

may 10th every year. There would probably be an option for camping if needed.

I doubt very much that my own project will be anywhere near complete by then, plans are constantly changing and its possible it wont even be rolling by then lol

About time we had a get-together in that part of the world - anyone else remember the meetings in the Tavistock area?

Not sure if I can get all my camping gear on a National Express coach though.

Do I remember the Tavistock holidays? Well they are a bit of a haze because we spent every evening in a pub somewhere supping Cider and playing bowling. I remember the Chipshop Inne and the inscription on the wall "Alcohol Induced, Brain Cells Reduced" ! But we did find some superb countryside down there with lots of fords to splash about in. Shaun was the instigator of the Tavistock end and he had the most Broken spanner awards from the picnic of all time. Truly great, memorable times.
