I seem to remember that John Foers made less then 200.
And I have owned 5 of them................
5? No way. When did you have the last one? I've only ever seen a couple 'in the flesh'. Yes, they definitely only made about 200.

Re: Newark 2009
The organisers want to make the figure 50 out of Minis & Mini based kit-cars for a ariel photo.
Seeing as The Scamp Club stand has the most Mini based cars on it My guess is that we'll be able to provide a good number of cars for the photo.
It looks like another great opportunity for the Scampers to get involved.
I'm still looking for a MK1 for the 'Classic kit car' show. for the volunteer I have a free weekend pass for a vehicle and all passengers. Anyone tempted? Then give me a ring on 07501 680215.

Re: Newark 2009
Hello fellow Scampers, As Rosie put on a new post, its fancy dress isn't it. It would be nice if we had a lot of us wearing fancy dress of the 60s. I hope we all have a great time at the show, for some reason I allways tend to a few too many beers. does it matter, its my home town now here up north....Whos dressing in fancy dress?
see you next weekend folks...Rick..

Minirat,
All the Scampers camp together at Newark. You're more than welcome to join us as is anyone else reading this.
after you've entered the main gate turn left and head down the long concrete (bumpy) road. The Scampers are on the left, sort of opposite the disused concrete sectional toilet block.
Regards

Where we camp is bottom left of the plan. We camp opposite the toilets, which is just above the "Pee" of Camping

Re: Newark 2009
As well as the fancy dress...
...Can I ask everyone who's coming along to bring any Union Flags (or Welsh/Scotish etc...) that they have and bunting and some 40th Birthday balloons (if you're passing a shop before the weekend.)
And please feel free if you fancy making some banners (i know Rob has already done some) and posters or pictures to help improve our club stand for this year.
BTW, who has the club banners and gazebo? It would be nice to be able to use them on the stand as well.

Hi Minirat,
That would be great, thanks.
£299 sounds a tad on the steep side though

Sorry Reg, I was so careful not to upset our neighbours from the principalities that I forgot our own flag! Oops!

Re: Newark 2009
What a great weekend. The Scampers did it again.
And it's all down to the efforts made by the Scampers who came along for the weekend. Thanks guys!
- We were the only display in the 'Classic kit-car' hall! (though there were a few other individual cars) Rob did an excellent job of the banner that had photos and road tests of Scamps over the years. We won the dispay of the show as a result. No doubt a sign of the gratitute of the show organisers for helping out again.
- We had 50% of all of the cars in the Mini based kitcar photo (on both days!)
- We were the only club that were in fancy dress for Saturday night's disco (The show organisers had promoted a 60's theme for the night and our 40th birthday fancy dress fitted in nicely.)
- And 17 Scamps between the two stands! the most we've had at Newark in a very long time!
And it's all down to the efforts made by the Scampers who came along for the weekend. Thanks guys!
