We came, we saw, we went. Not been to Himley for years. It hasn't changed! At least the weather stayed fine.

Re: Himley Mini Day?
I arrived at 9am and Lyn and Tony, Nic and Chris, Colin and Debs and the kids were already there.
Chris Yates Scamp had another outing today and its only May
As said the weather stayed good for us, Hot when the sky was clear, but chilly when t went behind a cloud.
Rosie - they knew that you had already sold on your min and gave the figure of 6K, I just said it was worth a field of grass (and no smoke in sight)
This shows raffle prize was just a boring old F reg Mayfair worth about £3k, we reckon that they sold 2 1/2 books which works out about £2 1/2 k in takings.
Woodstock arrived just about, after Tony had cleaned out the blocked carb last week and we adjusted the timing at the show as Colin had his timing light and it seemed better.
The show seems to have sorted out the traffic problems for the punters but it was still manic trying to get out after the prize givings and the raffle.
It was decided that as Chris Yates was there then it was down to him to send himself some photo's
3 weeks til the May BH and the Big Mikes B/Ham Bash..............See you there

Re: Himley Mini Day?
Many thanks to Rob, Colin and Deb, Nic and Chris and Chris Yates for bringing their cars along and to Mike and Wendy for coming along to support us.
We had a good patch with Himley House as our backdrop and a good view of the concourse in front, with the lake behind that.
As Rob said, the weather was kind and we had quite a bit of interest in the cars from the general public and several people who stopped to talk to us about Scamps, in states of disrepair, in their garages!
Nic and Chris went down to the mike to talk about the cars - helped by Rob when they dried up.
Hoping to have the same pitch next year.
Looking forward to The B'ham Bash - see you all then,

Re: Himley Mini Day?
I understand - children do insist on having lives of their own, and expect you to be there to drive them to and fro - inconsiderate I call it! - completely ruins any personal lives you would like to have!
It does get easier when they start to drive themselves - just worries you more and gets even more flippin' expensive!
After all - what did she buy as a first car.....? And what did we end up getting because of her....?
And how much extra money would we have in our bank account if she hadn't and we hadn't....?

We looked at the cars then carried on walking. After the events of recent months, didn't want to stop and chat! No offence to you and Tony!
