Himley Mini Day?

Would anyone else be interested in having a club stand at Himley this year?

It is 9th May and I am prepared to book a stand if others think it would be a good idea.

One of the organisers has a son in my class (incidentally Rose, his parents were also responsible for that mini you won! Kieran told me he saw the lady who had won jump up and down! )

Apparently there is another mini being raffled, so, you never know, it could be a year for Scamp club members to win minis

OMG - ANOTHER car on our overcrowded drive - how much more can our neighbours put up with (NicX2 cars + 1 Scamp, Tony 1 large van + 4X4, + Taz, me, 1 very small hatchback!)

looks like in not coming--- nothing is worth gettin up to date on course work--- il just take daisy to play else were- lol

I have now received the booking form for the club stand.

The only problem is...it requires me to book the amount of cars AND the amount of people travelling and prepay £6 per person! (under 12s free)

Apparently this is in order to lessen the queues they have been getting over the last few years. It is £1 per person cheaper than paying to get in on the day - so if you do intend to come along it will be worth you comng along with you Scamp and joining the club stand.

The problem for us is - who is willing to prepay for their tickets?

Scamp owners club memebers are very good at not making up their minds until the last minute - AND I definately include ourselves in that!
Anyway, I will book for anyone that confirms they wish me to do so.

I would like to book the stand ASAP so please let me know ASAP.

Oh, there is a theme for club stands if we wish to enter - World Cup football - don't know if anyone is interested in entering the stand - £200 prize money.

Pay me on the day - no need before hand - it will be useful to have some cash to spend when we get there!!!!

As long as Woodstock can get us there, then we will be there !! So 2 tickets for us please (and 2 free rug rats, unless I managed to loose them beforehand!!)

I ment, that if you havent paid for them in advance then you wont loose any money by leaving them home alone locked in the kitchen sharing the dogs food and water...........its character building

As Lin just pointed out you would actually save money and Chris could have a relaxing day

Himley Hall Mini Show this Sunday

We have a club stand there with only 4 Scamps on it at mo.

Any more takers......There are club members in Worcs and Glos, c'mon its not that far.

Even if you dont bring a Scamp come and see us any way.

Scamps from 9am, walkin's from 10

Just had a look at the BMC Himley page and found the following:-

Himley HeadlinersThis year the van and woody
are headling the show with a collection of models celebrating 50 years.
This fine display will around the great lake at Himley. Anyone wishing
to take part with a Van or Woody must contact the club to get a pass
with free entry for the driver. We have had an amazing
response from Classic Mini and Modern MINI owners clubs at this years
show combining the past with the present at Himley.The club area is
almost full to capacity, if your club has not booked in get it sorted
asap.

The Mini Moke club have 10 Mokes on display, and for the
first time the Scamp owners club have a stand showing off these Mini
based kit cars.Nottinghamshire MINI Club have a 25 car strong stand.
Halesowen Classic MOC have 14 members minis getting together at Himley.
The GP owners have a superb display of at least 20 GP's, which is more
than last year.


Hope to see a few more members there to join us on the stand.

We are hoping to take a laptop with a slide show of pics to show off some of our antics. Hope the weather is warmer than Stoneleigh!

I will be there , i will pop and have a look at the scamp stand as still thinking of getting one . May pick a brain or two on what to look for if thats ok.
