My favourite is the Handley Page Valiant. My Dad was a crew chief on them, working up to 90sqn Warrent Officer.

When the main spars cracked up in 1965.............Yes i know before most of you were born

My dad got seconded to the Royal Malaysian Air Force and we all went on a 3 1/2 year holiday.........bargain Doh - I dont think he ment to do that Icon_biggrin

They finished their last decade of service as Air to Air Refuelling Tankers.
55 & 57 Sqns at RAF Marham before the VC10 tankers at Brize Norton took over from them. Doh - I dont think he ment to do that Icon_biggrin

Vickers Valiant, Handley Page Victor.

The third was the Delta-winged Avro Vulcan which (if any) I think is my favourite, possibly because it was one of a number of cardboard models I assembled as a small boy.

Well i was only 8 when we left the UK in 1965 and 3 1/2 years in the tropical sun, swimming from golden beaches Doh - I dont think he ment to do that Icon_twisted
