They marched through Lincoln today. Unfortunately I was not able to attend but according to the local news there was no repeat of the Luton incident.
I doubt very much that the Leicester parade will be so lucky but lets just hope that true sense prevails for once.

Fantastic Youtube video Elaine. Have you looked at some of the other posts by Pat Condell? It does raise the question of how much longer this honest and obviously well eductated and read bloke will be aloud to continue posting his personal thoughts by the pandering nanny state?
I read with horror that the only 2 arrests that were made by Bedfordshire police at the Luton parade were of a couple of people that were trying to tell the protesting Muslims to wind their necks in and shut up !!!!!!!!!
It is high time that this country adopted the Australian attitude. Their view seems to be that if you move to Oz it is because you wish to become an Australian, if you do not like what being an Australian involves then leave the country.
I am pleased that many of the veterans of WWII are not around to witness how the values they fought so hard for so that we could enjoy the life we should have are being sold down the river.
Rant over
For now

OTOH...
One of the values that was fought for, one that has been hard-won over the centuries and did not come cheaply, is freedom of speech. Which means freedom for good and bad alike. We should welcome even protests that go against the grain, they are evidence of this freedom.
"I do not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" - Voltaire.
Just playing Devil's Advocate - somebody has to.

Oh, I'm not saying that they have no right to protest Bob. I just think they could have done it in a more respectful way i.e protest outside Downing Street at the exact times that these parades are taking place. It was afterall our government that decided to go to war, not the soldiers......
Elaine.

They wouldn't be able to protest in their country. Its thanks to our soldiers (past and present) that they can protest freely. Some kind of hypocrite me thinks. Read an article about our ww2 pilots today, very enlightening even for someone who was awake during history at school.
Tourists come to this country for its history and culture and spend their money here, these people come here for our freedoms and benefits, then turn our towns into mini homelands. Other nationalities get an embassy and thats it.
