NOS Spitfire fuel tank for sale
Triumph not Supermarine
Never used
Clean inside
Surface rust on outside
No gauge sender or attachments.
Specs say its 37.6 L or 10galls which doesnt add up
Tank length 32" (34 1/2 with attachment ring)
Tank width 10" (11 1/2 with attachment ring)
Tank height 9"
I have measured my Mk3 and it would fit between the rear wheel arches.

Re: NOS Spitfire fuel tank for sale
32 x 10 x 9 = 2880 cu. in.
2880 / 61 = 47.2 l
47.2 / 4.54 = 10.4 gal
So 10 gallons is a bit unlikely unless the tank is in the form of a rectangular box, but this might be where "10 gal" came from. 37.6 l (8.3 gal) sounds reasonable.2880 / 61 = 47.2 l
47.2 / 4.54 = 10.4 gal
Incidentally I've heard of WWII drop tanks being recycled as motorbike bodies, but AFAIK Spitfires didn't have them

Found it !
Someone in the last couple of months asked me if i still had the fuel tank.
I had thought that it had gone
But today in the depths of my garage i found it.
So if you still want it, give me a MP and we can discuss it.
I can bring it along to the Picnic.
