Re: Mk1 darn sarf
Nice looking job, last seen on eBay 9 years ago.
Incidentally those headlamps appear to be from a 2CV, which I have recollections of the reflectors being a non-standard size - can one of our deuchistes confirm?

Re: Mk1 darn sarf
I was a Scamp owner and club member many years ago and now looking to get another one!
Anyone here know the history of this one?
What is a Mk1 realistically worth these days? I seem to recall selling my Mk2 for £250 about 10 years ago!

Hi Matt
They're worth what someone will pay for them.
Check out Ebay
Some dont move and then others go for daft prices.
Location for viewing is a factor as well.
Scamp prices have gone up as Mini have.
A 1275 running engine is worth at least £600 and even 998 arent very cheap if they're good runners.
It also depends on how much work you want to do.
You can pick up a cheap wreak
or pay high for a good runner.
Rum Tum is our archivist so knows more than most of us.

Re: Mk1 darn sarf
Hi Rob,
Thanks for the advice. I would have liked to go and see it first but it's a bit far away. Might just see how the bidding goes tomorrow as it looks in reasonable condition.
