SCAMP PICNIC, 45th BIRTHDAY. STOURPORT 23/25 AUGUST

Hello Scampers, Just to let you know, that it is 45th Birthday of the Scamp. plus the clubs AGM. With one of the best Scamp events of the year. Which most of you attend. I hear there are going to be plenty of new faces will be attending,

Next year I will be organising a Southern weekend at a campsite near New Romney (not too far from Rye). The campsite is a bit special as it's run by Glyn Swift who started Swiftune some nearly 50 years ago. He has two of his race cars there and is busy preparing a third,he also has a mint condition Moke. I would like you lot to come up with a date to give me at the Picnic,preferabely not a bank holiday but obviously during half term/full term holidays for those of you with families. Glyn is very keen on the idea and will discount us depending on numbers.I'll come armed with prices etc.
You can also "glamp" if you so wish,it's not a very big site so we need to book up early if we are going to do it.

A weekend of boozing   

Mind you my track record isn't too good at the moment after going down with a temp of 39.3, flu and a chest infection, at the IMM and having to get the RAC to medically recover me back to Wolverhampton.
For those of you with the tight wallets, it cost me the £70 for 48hrs. Mind you I did save the cost of the return petrol.  

Hopefully Chris I will be recovered by next year to risk another trip Darn Sarf.

Would like to "Glamp" so prices of Chalets would be useful.

I suggest last week in July/FIRST week in August.
Thought Scamp Picnics were always on the Bank Holiday at the END of August!

That might be awkward Mr.NG Guy as that's normally the Scamp Picnic and our host has requested trying to avoid Bank Holidays if possible. A long weekend say the Thursday,Friday,Saturday,Sunday during a half or full term holiday when the kids are off.

We'll see what numbers we can muster at the Picnic so that I can pre book the spot.
On a more serious note,make sure there's plenty of space for my huge caravan on Friday night 'cause I might be turning up rather late.
