IMM 2014 DETLING NEAR MAIDSTONE

I know it caused a whole bone of contention last time it was raised,but do we know who is coming and supporting the Scamp in it's 45th year,it's an event we can raise the profile of the Scamp Owner's club to get more members, although I know it's expensive if you do the whole weekend bit. There are Mini's coming from as far a field as Arrizona, so it's going to be massive in comparrison to any of the other Mini shows you might have been to since the 2009 IMM. I need to know how many so that I can book a club stand. For a start there is John Halliday and myself, Rob Keen is coming but is torn between us and the Funky Monkey Mini club, is there anyone else? I know that Lynn and Tony were interested but I don't know if they have booked.

So,in the Scamps 45th year we can only mange 3 at an international Mini Meet ???? I was hoping for a big turn out to make our presence known,looks like it's not going to happen,very sad.

I'm coming all the way from Holland with my twin engined Mk1,if it is ready in time...  

Will be there with my mk2 will try to seek you all out if you are there....

Also I might mention that the scamp turn out in Europe is getting better
....2010 neumarket Germany...just me
2011 st Stefan Switzerland.....just me
2012 hungary didn't go.....
2013 mugello Italy....me....and one more mk1 from Germany!!

So taken as an average that's an increase of 100% over 5 years !!!
kent will be a record breaking year no matter what.

So that takes us up to 6 on stand,if I book a stand for twelve then it makes room for any extra's,I know my friend from Hastings with a standard Mini might join us. Mk 3 Rob has suggested that we go along side the Funky Monkey Mini Club (of which he is a member of) as their numbers are uncertain as well.

Err Chris, I think that the above 2 will be coming with their Mini Clubs.

They say no probs for us to be next to the Funkey Monkies. There is a bit on the web site to request it.

Just spoke on my phone at Himley to our mate from really really darn Sarf. The bloke with the big shed.
Jason was pissed off that I was at a Mini Show and is really looking forward to the IMM. Over at the end of July.
His dad has just obtained a 59 Holden Ute to do up ........................ sometime.

I'm coming hopefully in my Van, when I say hopefully presently in the shop getting a new floor that it's been needing for a few years, so I bit the bullet. So hopefully be there in that as it's a bit far to drive a Scamp, and I not keen on trailer journeys. I'm travelling with the Mini Clan from north of the border. hope to see you there.

That's it then,applications are now closed for the IMM,hope we get a few Scamps on stand being the 45th year of it's manufacture

We may not be at the IMM in big numbers,but we will sure as hell make our presence known.I'm going to try and gather up as many Scamps from other Clubs to get a 45th birthday photo,and this is my entry in the Rocker Cover Racing event..........one Scamp Silver Dream Machine.

He has rebuilt his scamp and it is going  in for mot Friday

Hi Chris,

I have the AMC Cub Demonstrator in my possession and would like to bring it to the IMM for the Sunday only (I am now a paid up member of the SOC). Could I put it on either the SOC or Funky Monkey Stand Please!

A great weekend international style,14 Scamps on site and we managed to get 10 of them for a photo shoot(but we had to be lead by security!!! Rocker cover lost in the first round to the Irish,but when you saw the efforts some people put in a couple of skateboard wheels screwed to a bit of fence post like mine it was rather inadequate. One new member from Germany and a possibility of another,a truly great and memorable weekend.

I would like to thank Chris for his hospitality on Sunday at this event and say what a pleasure it was to meet Fred H and Barry with their Scamps and talk over "old Scamping times".  

I will be interested in the next English IMM (if they don't price themselves out of the market and get a more tolerant Security System in place for next time!).

I got the numbers wrong,16 Scamps there over the weekend,I forgot Fred and Barry's on the Sunday.
Get yourselves ready for 2016,it's in Belgium so a mere trip accross the channel. I think next year's is going to be a difficult one to get to,it's in Lithuania,you know,just the other side of Poland!!

I will definitely go to Lithuania!   1000km to Hamburg Kiehl, then by ferry to Lithuania. I hope I'm not the only Scamp !!!

Oooo land of extremely strong   and I might have a Scamp finished by 2016......
