February Pub Grub do - Leicestershire. Saturday 11th Feb
Hi Guys'
A bit short notice I know, As per last year The February Pub Grub Do is being held at The George and Dragon, Thringstone, Leicestershire LE67 8UH on the 11th February.
http://www.georgeandragon.co.uk/
We'll be there from midday till about 3:30pm. Afterwards you're more than welcome to come back to ours for a cuppa before decending on our Local in Whitwick until late.
If you want to make a night of it you're more than welcome to pitch a tent or park a camper at our house or bagsie a space on the floor somewhere.

Would Sir and Maddam like to reserve the presidential suite with its excellent view of the building works and an outside loo?

It's right outside their bedroom door. They'll have to dodge the pile of sand on the way to the toilet as well.

Unfortunately can't make the pub meal, but may possibly make the evening convivial get together.
Any chance of provisionally reserving a couple of square feet of floor space James ?
(Might even remember to bring sleeping bag, fortunately Whitwick won't be kept awake with the sounds of a lost scamp this time !! Astra's much quieter, but will still prob get lost...hehe )
Will be dropping the munchkin home about 6:30, so poss eta of about 10:30 (twatnav dependent)..!!

Something tells me that it's going to be a cold, cold journey today! Bbbbrrrr
Elaine.
Elaine.
Congrats
Yet again another great Pub do, thanks to James for organising it and the following 24hrs
I bottled it when i saw that the temp at 11am was still -4C and didnt take my Scamp.
7 more hardy other Scampers, led by the Wezgit, came in theirs.
After moving the party back to Jame's, the numbers thinned out and there was left just 6 of us for the Pub in the evening (no we wernt still drinking at 12.30ish ok we were) Back to James where the only way he knows to make toast is by the loaf full.
Leanne was on babysitting duties and had a 3hour start on kipping so we thought we had better wakeup Jenson so we could catch up
Being a lover of sleep now i remember why i dont go to stay with my 4 Grand kids to often
Brunch was consummed by all, then Lola took James, Wezgit and Neil for a walk. I came home
Thanks again to James

Re: February Pub Grub do - Leicestershire. Saturday 11th Feb
'Twas a good day out.
We decided against going up The Rag 'n' Mop at night time.... want to get back to my usual fitness level, and got quite a few things on our 'would like to buy' lists, so we need to save our hard earned cash at the mo.
Mr J is out shooting, so hopefully he'll be bringing tomorrow's dinner back... Every little helps!

Thanks James for organising a great event,I missed the local petrol station but found one on the way to the M1.By the time I filled up it was 13.30,188 miles and arrived back home at 16.30,if it wasn't for the road works it would have been alot quicker. It turned a few heads seeing a yellow thing with a tent on come past them in the fast lane!!
