hi folks looks like a may be getting an early mk2 scamp soon and i have heard that there was a modification to the rear suspension any idea what it was and what's involved as i would like to get it sorted during the rebuild Very Happy

There are several mods to the chassis to combat the loads from the rubber suspenson.

One is to add a length 48" i think of 40mm box across the underside of the chassis in front of the inner radius arm bracket (as this is forced forward without it) and another mod is to fit an additional 40mm box backstay to the rear of the box supporting the cone. fit only one backstay the box supporting the cone (100mm x 40mm?) twists out of alignment.

Of course, there are others.......
