Re: New?? Mk1 on Ebay
Out of general interest is it possible to register this Scamp?
It says in the listing that 'the car has no paperwork and will need registering when complete or a donor car applied to it' so I'm assuming it has no paperwork at all not even a reg doc for the donor vehicle. I thought part of the reason the MK3 went out of production was the fact it wouldn't meet the SVA requirements that came in at the end of the 90's so I doubt a MK1 would meet them. I know it's possible to sort out the registration if there is a V5 still showing the donor vehicle and it's been on the road as a Scamp in the past and has some documentation showing this i.e. MOT Cert, Ins Cert etc but this one appears to have never been finished.

Re: New?? Mk1 on Ebay
In this case the chassis could be used to replace a rotten mk1 that has beyond repair but the cost of the two may be prohibitive or it could only be used on private land

Re: New?? Mk1 on Ebay
That's interesting which MK was it? I thought Scamps Mk1-3 wouldn't meet the radius rules for bodywork? Hence the introduction of the MK4x4.

Can't find reference to it on here although there used to be something about it on here as Nick asked lots of questions during the build.
Not sure if this link will work.....

We saw the pink Mk1 at the IMM last year and gave the owner a membership form, she seemed quite keen at the time(to join the owner's club that is).

Re: New?? Mk1 on Ebay
Its the cost of putting your pride and joy through the SVA is what puts people off and the subsequent re-tests, a lot more than the cost of your standard MOT.
