Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car Show
Aiming to be there one day only, depending on commitments at home. Sunday is normally my preferred day, in case there are any really good bargains which sell out. However at the moment I'm not on the lookout for anything, can't really afford anything, and haven't got room for any more junk potentially useful stuff. So it's more likely to be Monday.
Mark, there is always room in both cellar and budget for decent wine...

Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car Show
Newly purchased trailer tent is now sitting in the garage after fetching it from Warwick this morning so Colette and I are planning to be there. Unfortunately it will be less the Scamp.

Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car Show
Well, averaging the price out over the number of years I got in for free while working for Sylva and the fact I've not been for over 15 years I'm not too bothered.

John, if it isn't actually raining, put on your all-weather gear and come in the Scamp anyway.

Bob. It is a Bank Holiday weekend so rain is almost guaranteed!Rum Tum Tugger wrote:John, if it isn't actually raining, put on your all-weather gear and come in the Scamp anyway.
Martin. Chris has already offered to to give Jan a lift. (If he goes)
As you suggested, topless (even in the height of summer) is not Jans idea of fun anymore.
Elaine. Before you ask I am not telling what Jans idea of fun is, it would only
make you jealous !!

Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car Show
We had a great weekend at Stoneleigh topped off by a visit to the stand by Tiff Needle after a chat with young mark. well done Mark.
I think we only managed 12 Scamps on the stand but it was nice to see Neil (Wall-e), Fred, young Andy, Steve etc and a few other faces from the past. Dave & I fell for Chris W's Rapido poptop caravan (I want one) and we were all stunned when the waiter in Pizza Hut offered Dave outside for a fight. Not funny (especially in front of his family). Needless to say, as a club we won't be going there next year and on a personal level we won't be going to any other Pizza Hut again either.
Thanks to all who made the effort to come along to the show.

Tiff Needell - Top Bloke !
Was great with the kids, especially Mark and entered into the spirit of things.
A weekend of Highs and Lows:
Highs - Good Company, Good Weather (for a few minutes !), Better show than previous years, the Scamp Compact Caravan Appreciation Society was born
Lows - A couple of mis-behaving Scamps, and Well.....lets not dwell on the rest
Dave
