not and not found the time, Just had silly offers so decided to let them all rot away

sadly it is time to admit defeat and offer my scamp collection for sale
2mk1s and a mk2, all correctly registered as scamps all on current v5c
all requiring work.
mk1 hard top,owned by me for 24 years, converted into hard top 14 years ago. unused since. (dry stored). I purchased this of the chap that built it.

mk1 all original 850. no seats otherwise complete. original paint complete hood and side screens.. running 6 month ago. requires rear subframe. due to corrosion. (dry stored)

mk2 rebuilt brakes. discs on the front 1000 engine (40,000 mile) fitted 3 years ago, just before its last mot,(only came back from mot straight into garage, unused since. red white and blue respray at that time. now requires seats. (dry stored).

Rob, the price is clearly printed under the picture of the mk1, I may not have the time, but i have loads of space, so its no problem to just leave them in the barn, I certainly wont be giving them away.i think £150 for a tax exempt mk1 is a bit pathetic by any standard

We were genuinely interested in hearing more about these but got no reply with I asked for more info. No silly offers from us as we didn't even know what was for sale!

Mike, I agree, £150 is not exactly an offer you can't refuse. OTOH I am myself restoring a Scamp laid up for 20 years now, and have found that although sorting the original faults wasn't too difficult, it's discouraging how much work is needed just to fix what has corroded / perished / been chewed in the meantime. I have to admit that if I were buying, I wouldn't want to pay a great deal for a car that, for all I knew, might be a bigger job to restore than it was to build in the first place.

Please don't give up - we've had enquiries from potential buyers in these threads (are you there, Si?), who may not have been aware that your Scamps were still available. I'd certainly forgotten about them.

I certainly hope you find good homes for your collection. The Mk1 appears an excellent specimen in original condition (especially if the rollbar is original, which I can't tell from the pic), and I don't think your asking price is unreasonable, at least as a starting point for haggling. Any chance of pics of the other two?
