Re: mini at the pod
Reg's Monster Scamp went down the pod 6yrs ago, but (due to his old clutch exploding) instead of doing the quarter mile in the expected 14 seconds, it rolled across the finish line in an unimpressive 17!
The little beasty still nearly got us home (40+ miles) LOL It was like driving on egg shaped wheels.......... three miles from home it had had enough though.
The monster is currently off the road waiting for Audi Turbo power, so that won't be going to the pod this year. And I think the drag strip would wreck my MESS, so I won't be taking that either! BUT, I'm sure some of the members on here will be interested in going.
Elaine&Richard (AKA Reg).

I doubt we'll be going. It's the same cars going down the track year after year. I do like watching my mate Carl in his twinnie though! It was never the same after they moved it from Cornbury Park.

You're just jealous!
We did the VW action day at the Pod last year...that was a bit different. Might have a look for some of the RWYB days....been to York once or twice to watch that. Good fun.

Took my 998 grasstrack Mini down the strip a few years ago and by halfway down I was bored and wishing for a corner or two !!!
Not my cup of tea but don't mind watching it !!!

It was indeedy!
To be honest Gray the only time we tend to go to the pod is to see how fast our cars go after engine upgrades............. C'mon Reg, hurry up and get that Audi Turbo in!
