XMAS DINNER/BOOGIE NIGHT
Its only 4 weeks away, I hope those that are going are looking in the back of their wardrobes for that 70's suit or that lurex catsuit and dusting off those platform boots that you kept cos they are back in fashion now, lets all make an effort as it is a 70's themed evening, let your hair down for once and if you don't have any then get a wig!

Re: XMAS DINNER/BOOGIE NIGHT
I am surprised that some of the 38 people going are not prepared to enter into the sprit of the evening - its the Scamp Christmas Dinner after all albeit in November - Lin & Tony would look a lot better taking to the floor (like they did last year) in the right togs - and Reg well enough said - his other half seems up for it but in a Haloween costume - and James well he has always been game for laugh - the clue is in the description of the evening i.e. 70's theme so don't expect to hear much else

Re: XMAS DINNER/BOOGIE NIGHT
I'm not really going in my halloween get up!
Not sure what I'll be wearing, but I'm working that day so if I don't have a shower I can come as PAT!
Boom, boom!

Re: XMAS DINNER/BOOGIE NIGHT
It would appear that no one is interested in having a laugh and donning wide flairs and splangly tops so boring normal clothes and paper hats are the order of the night - bah humbug - may be next year

Re: XMAS DINNER/BOOGIE NIGHT
We're always up for a laugh, and we're lucky enough to spend most of our days with a smile on our faces We just haven't got outfits for this theme and unlike some women, I'm not in the habit of spending my hard earned cash on something that I'll only wear for a few hours.
Don't despair Martin, there are only a few of the 38 on here, I'm sure some of the others will dress up.....

There are folks who are not comfortable with the idea of fancy dress and really shouldn’t feel under pressure to conform to your ideas of "having a laugh". It is possible to enjoy yourself whilst wearing "normal" clothing too.
I would love to dress the way I did in my "yoof" albeit with a wig to replace my now vanished hair. However do you know of anywhere were you can buy flares with a 40" waist and a 35" inside leg? I don’t and I’ve looked….. Even if I had kept my old painted denim jackets..they’re hardly likely to have fit me now…..since I’ve just about doubled in size since I was 16….. It isn’t that straightforward is it?

No idea what we're doing yet. We're not going to have oodles of cash to splash around for drinks let alone anything else as I've just packed in my job for a lower paid one and only 1 pay day before christmas.
