Don't we just make it up on the day?
Sorry I've had a drink, although I can still spill................

Haven't you just!
Earlier I found you sat on the bog, trousers around ankles, slumped against the towel rail fast asleep. Oh sorry you weren't asleep, you were 'just relaxing!'
I came back inside after shunting the cars around, and you had vacated the bathroom. I found you lying on the sofa hid under a blanket, and the dog sat to attention. I asked if you were ok? You mumbled 'The dog keeps getting me' at which point the dog leapt from the floor slamming all five and a half stones onto you again. I told Sten to leave you alone, took your shoes off for you, and left you to sleep it off.....
The last thing I heard was you shouting 'Shut the hatch, it stinks of pork!' By the tone of your voice, I'm guessing you don't fancy any tea?
I'm sure James'll be along to add a bit soon.

Apologies for derailing this, (it does seem to have been sufficiently derailed already..) but, im wondering, are dogs ok at the site?
also, when i say dog.. its a pomeranian, so.. rat? ;p
Re rail - As i said, i'm bringing the scamp and the mini, so, how much!?

Re: stourport 09
Dogs are welcome as long as they get on with kids, other dogs, and sheep.
It's usually £20 per car, but I think it's (almost) been decided that it's per person this year to make it fairer - Past years have led to quite a few adults paying sod all for the weekend, because they didn't drive to where we camp/play.
Sorry, I don't know how much it will cost, because we don't know how much the site has gone up from last year - Rick, or Martin & Nettie would be the best people to answer this.

Oh Dear !.....I'm sat here, up to my eyes in work...along with an 8-week deadline to make our house habitable again.....and I'm thinking..."Wonder if I've got enough time to build up a 1275 engine and box..and replace the woefully underpowered 998 lump in the Scamp....by Friday"

Re: stourport 09
You know the answer is yes Jono.
Because the Scamp HAS to have a 1275 engine for Stourport. It just wouldn't be Cricket with anything less.

Re: stourport 09
The site is £350 (£100 more than last year) and the 2 portaloos are £175 so that makes £525 so at £20 per car we need to at least 26 cars or at £15 per person we need 35 people anything over that goes towards the barbeque - if we don't break even the shortfall comes out of club funds - perhaps next year we have the Picnic in Tesco's (or Morrison's) car park, do the voting, give out the trophys and go home

Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned it to Jo.. Please excuse the black eye...I walked into a door....honest I think we'll stay with Rob in the 998 club....

Re: stourport 09
There's nothing wrong with the 998 club!
Nic's Daisy has a 998 and proved to be rather more reliable than Taz (or Woodstock) in The Peak District. Daisy did all that the other - more powerful - Scamps did and was on 10" wheels with road tyres!

Re: stourport 09
I was a member of the 848 club once but it was a lonely place and took longer to get anywhere than the second coming of Christ!
Re: stourport 09
My Mk1 performed reasonably well with its original 848 engine - mind you, it wasn't quite so heavy in those days. And when fitted with the cam and head from a 997 Cooper, it didn't half shift! Trouble was, it did about 26 to the gallon...
The present 998 (ex HLE Metro, with a high compression head) is far from ideal, but I have a 1098 waiting to be rebuilt.
