Coalville area afternoon pub meet, Saturday 16th May 2pm onwards

I started this monthly pub meet a few years ago for Lotus/VX220 owners.......... We tend to get quite a few questions about our Scamps, so I'm wondering if you Scampers would like to join us too? (You don't have to turn up in a Scamp, but it would be nice).


Location: The George & Dragon in Thringstone (LE67 8UH)
Map: 'HERE'
Date: Saturday 16th May
Time: 2pm onwards
Food: The full menu is served 12.00-3.00pm, after that it's just baguettes (until they start the full menu again at 6pm).

That sounds good Elaine, we may well pop along.

For anyone who's not been to the G & D before I can highly recommend the food and the atmosphere, they are both superb.

Jolly good James (I take it you'll have collected the new toy by then).


Anybody else coming? We usually have a right laugh, it's not just a geeky car meet.

And don't worry, there only tends to be a couple of fights between the VX & Elise owners

I might not be able to make it as Harriet has a party in the afternoon, but i will try.

Today folks.

Well it was a real flop this month!
Steve & Fiona came (300bhp SC Honda Exige), but with baby Samantha, so not in the Lotus! James & Leanne popped in for a while, in the orange one. And me 'n' Reg went in our Exige.

So the scores were as follows:

Lotus: 1
Scamp: 1
VX220: 0

I don't know whether it was the crappy weather that put people off coming (the majority have to travel 20-40miles each way), or if folks are just plain skint.

Hopefully next months will be back to normal (10-30 Lotus/VX220), and will have a few more Scamps in attendance too,
