RE:Start of project.....erm....snappy title.
Hi you wont be able to tell how fast your going when Mr Kawasaki gets up to full chat! Its a strange feeling sometimes by the rev,s - 10,000rpm in top feels like 160 mph, but depending on the diff you may not see 120mph! A polite word i too had a Scamp with a Honda CBR1100RRXX motor, it had a few changes of rad the best i found was a alloy mk2 Golf 1.6 one,(cheapish £55) but you will need a fan. Best for air flow was straight upright with a 13 row oil cooler 1/4 inch in front. Whilst i know its own rad does a great job in the bike it may struggle with the extra loading of the Scamp chassis. Air flowed around the engine as mine was in the front, yours is couped up behind you. Was it carb,d or injection, A dynojet kit helps.(Carbs) Ttfn 4x4 Rob.

I'm sure I'll get used to the sound, just like I have in every other car I've driven...
Top speed's not the reason we're building it, so I'll be happy with a ton.
We're going to see how the ZZR rad fares up first, and yes we've got a fan.
Got an oil cooler as well.
Engine will have ducting.
I'm leaving the dynojet kit bit to Reg... He worked in the motorbike shop from the age of 16, and only had bikes as transport for 10yrs solid.
Elaine.

James, yeah we gathered that (in the end). In our defence we never saw it, so couldn't remember it
I wonder if Allan's still got his? I'll have to drop him an email to see how he is these days.

Engine is back out.....
Engine is back out now due to a leaking clutch seal.
So whilst its out its having:
295 head
twin hs2's
sw05-07 cam
should be good for 55-60 hp when its up and running.
(cue everyone saying - call that power? ive more power in my toaster)

Whoopee!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, I've got about 3 of those 1100 speedos, I used to have one in red scamp, it was o.k. just had a job finding the right gearing in the gearbox, I still use the ange drive on my present scamp.

I think I've had most of the shades of yellow, if you compare the new paint in 2000 to the 10 year old paint now.......

Love the snorkel, didnt realise the floods were that bad up norf.
Woodstock could do with one of those, well the exhaust spends most of its time in the back anyway
and
it would keep the kids feet warm
