Hi all....
I am the new owner of said vehicle......havent picked it up yet however will be doing so at weekend.
Its coming back to cumbria to live on my farm with kevin.....
This is my first scamp though....
Any history on the scamp ive bought would be greatly appreciated!
Also any other scamp owners online in cumbria?....swear ive seen a yellow one round kendal..
(PS its richard.stewardson...but its not my account anyway)

Hmm... The one in the photo's Q registered, i.e. it has its own registration not the donor's, so the usual reason for changing its identity would not apply. Other possibilities:
- it's been nicked
- the present number was a "cherished number" and is worth having in its own right
- the original V5 and plates were lost and somebody had a spare V5 and got lazy
- your new car really is a twin of the old one
all equally improbable.
At least you know what the registration should be. If your seller tries to fob you off with the wrong V5, (a) check the chassis number, (b) confront him with the photos.
Incidentally Q458 NTR is mentioned in Jan 2002 Scampers as being "very smart" in army green, and owned by new member Ian Connolly from Walton near Liverpool - is he still around?
