Re: Mk2 on Ebay
The shell behind it was listed not that long ago i recall the rear one didnt have id, the red one has. Price looks about right be nice to see it in the club. I believe it only needs an engine.

Re Mk2 for Sale
I see this will be sold without its tuned engine.
As a matter of interest how easy/hard is it to obtain a good running (fairly standard) 1100/1275cc (A or A+) engine for a Scamp these days and what would be a fair price for a good complete sound one?
Sorry for a newbie question bit out of touch these days!
Best regards RG.

Re: Mk2 on Ebay
Well funny you should ask cos i am just removing a 44k 1275 out of my sprite. To be replaced by a 1098. Also have a mg metro engine. Otherwise ebay for a guide. £100 upwards.

Re: Mk2 on Ebay
You'll be lucky to get a decent 1275 for less than £500.
I got a 1275 SPI engine for £300 plus £75 freight (off Ebay) from Edin burgh. the car had been rear end shunted.
I stripped it down to the basic block and head then added on the normal bits.
The punters were scared off by the SPI description.

A Series Engines
Thanks for the price update guys. I can remember selling a complete Scamp for less than £500, last time around.
I was tempted by the eBay Scamp but only if it had been sold as a runner.
Ref the MG Metro engine is it a non-turbo; if so perhaps a MP/PM with details and price.
Thanks Again NG Guy
