Re: alas poor scamp
That is indeed a Club sticker on the side. Can't see which one it is: IIRC the original one just said "Scamp Owners Club" at the bottom, another commemorated the Club's 30th anniversary, don't know if there were any others.

You're forgetting such classics like the Magnum, Chevette HS & HSR, MK1 Chavalier Coupe (Opel Manta) and the Royale Coupe (Opel Monza). And of course the MK1 Astra GTE!
Halcyon days!
Re: alas poor scamp
The magnum was a viva, along with the droop snoot. the only good thing about the others is the redtop engine can go in a viva using the manta gearbox.

Re: alas poor scamp
It's turned up again, a bit further South.
PEDANT ALERT
"Registered 1 Jan 1973" would be suffix L, and (unless I am mistaken, which is quite possible) miss out on tax exemption by 1 day. However the original description said "TAX EXEMPT NUMBER BOP***K".
Either way it would be the donor's registration as Mk2s came later.

Yeah, I knew that already but wounldn't class a Viva in the save league as a 2.3 Magnum.
