Now, either I'm suffering from a poor memory or an over active imagination, but I seem to recall a 4x4 kit car based on either a Land Rover or a Daihatsu that looked a little like the Ibex but called the Saxon.

I've searched the old interweb and drawn a blank - can someone please put me out of my misery?

Old age maybe, your memory is reasonably correct. They were fibreglass and they had the front designed as its doner the Daihatsu F50 i think. The one before the fourtrack. Seem to recall a pic in navy blue. Never seen a real one though. Hope this helps. Rob.

Is it just something that puzzled you or have you found one? Wasnt there a link on the old forum about other 4x4s i remember a french 4x4 in blue it looked a little like my old suzuki scamp. Would a saxon be there chas ?
