No probs here Nettie.
It is a bit rude of the hotel............ but nobody's died, so we shalln't be getting upset about it.

And theres more
Have spoken with the new hotel.......Hilton have transferred a block booking for 10 rooms (names as per above message) I have given them those names.
There are only double or twin rooms, no cheap rate for single occupancy!!!
So, is there another single out there who wants to share my room. For reference you can speak to Chris Westgate who i slept :-) with for 8 days on the Italian Job Tour 2008 (plug for Mr Bridger) Chris will confirm that i dont belch or fart (much) in my sleep.
Hope this helps one and all....Rob

Hi all,
below are the details of the hotel, the nice hotel lady says they have a good pool, jacuzzi and other stuff. So we will still need our cozzies.

As your president I have complained bitterly about the way we have been treated by the East Midland Hilton hotel and I have sent a very strong email to Hilton Hotels UK customer services. Lets hope the new venue is a cracker and see you all for cocktails in the jacussi, well done Elaine

Re: Christmas dinner 6th Dec 2008
My mates sister was at Yew Lodge for a wedding last week, she said it was very good all-round.
What's on our Xmas menu? Is there an online one we can ogle, or can someone scan a leaflet and post a link to it on here?
Elaine.

Confirmation on New Venue for Xmas Dinner
Hi Folks
Have sent all those concerned an email with the PDF attached as I don't know how to attach it to this message-:
Just to say that the new venue is confirmed as
The Yew Lodge Hotel,
Packington Hill,
Kegworth.
They have booked us in for the meal and the 10 rooms already booked have been transferred so don't wory about having to cancell at the Hilton.
Attached is the pdf for all to peruse, page 7 lists the Party Night Menu which is sit down waitress service.
Thanks to those whose cheques I have received for the balance and for those who have put them in the post.
Just to remind all that I need the balance by the 15th of October at the latest and that you need to ring and book your room.
They offer double or twin bedded rooms inclusive of full English breakfast and use of Reeds Health Club & Spa.
See you all at Christmas
Regards
Nettie

Doh or should that be Dowh in my case, aplogies Mr. Bridger I completely forgot I shall blow the sand off my laptop and type some drivel so you all have something to read or curse about and afterwards recycle it by tearing out the pages put a hole in one corner of each page and using a bit of string thread them all together and hang in the loo for emergencies.
