There have been some half-a-dozen Scamps with Moke / Jimini style bonnets, some better than others:
In this case the mods seem to have been properly engineered - except that the engine evidently isn't meant to be lifted out (unless it's from a bike). No great problem, lifting the body off the subframe assembly was a job I always reckoned comparable in time and effort.
