Is there any solid evidence that the car was in its present form - i.e. a Scamp rather than a Mini - when last MoT'd? If the registration details weren't a problem then, they shouldn't be an insuperable problem now. And sorry, no I don't have any info on its history.

It was a personal choice - I didn't want to deal with a mismatched V5 though I accept someone in a different position may have accepted this. Had this been clear I wouldn't have bid though as I say, I was informed afterwards and it all ended amicably.
