Teabag is going to go :-(
Well I said at the outset and all the way through that the Scamp had to be a daily driver and earn it's keep. I do maintenance work and have to carry my tools and a bunch of spares with me each day. I sorted everything out and loaded poor Teabag to the gunwales but still had to leave a fair bit of stuff at home and it's not working out.
A well known saying by a guy called Sodde explains that whatever you think you won't need will be the exact thing you do need and so it has been proving.
The Scamp has been fine and although not fast and decidedly noisy it's performed well but I just need a bigger vehicle I'm afraid. A Peugeot Expert van is lined up and I take delivery Friday.
So sadly the Scamp is going. I know it's not a great deal of expense to have it sitting on the drive as it's free road tax and insurance is very reasonable but it just won't get used now. A car sitting on the drive 99% of the time is just going to deteriorate which would be a shame.
Will take some pics at the weekend and get it on Fleabay.
Thanks to all you guys who've offered advice and help and all the best to you all.

This is it if anyone is looking http://r.ebay.com/QKEFnu
It's a shame you have decided to sell it as it looks one of the best I have seen up for sale for ages. Good luck with the sale.

Did he put in the for sale on here ? Surely being tax exempt it would have sold very quickly ?

Re: Teabag is going to go :-(
Wonder if anyone might want the Metro engine/box I bought for teabag and never used. The guy who bought the car has a 1275 lined up so didn't want it. Unfortunately he took the 'bolt on bits' I had put in the Scamp before he came to collect it and the head went on Teabag as it was unleaded. I put the head from the other engine on just to keep the dust out. There is the pre-engaged starter motor but that's all so what's left is basically a short engine/box without water pump, manifold, carb, alternator etc.
Engine was an Ebay buy and was described as low mileage and perfect runner. Seller seemed a genuine sort of chap who was putting a bike engine in the Metro.
Can't see me getting another A series car now so just want the space back in my garage/shed. I can help manually lift it into your car/van. It's in north Norfolk near Sutton Bridge. Don't want anything for it but want the whole thing taken so if you think it might be of use send me a message.
