Not sure,there used to be a guy in the club that had one of the very first of the Mk2,there was quite alot of difference,if I remember right the headlights or the way they fitted was different,amongst other things. They did suffer from cracked top suspension turrets until someone came up with the idea of triangulation bars to support the subframe mounts,it's like all of the Scamps,it's an evolving process. I think I've still got an email of a chap who helped design and produce the MK2,he was our contact with Robert Mandry at a photo shoot we did in 2011,he also did some renovation work on Bob Lilley's Mk1 (his nephew has it now).

With the Mk1 you havn't got an option,Mandry put an nice little cross member just above the front tyres!
