Don't think it's MOT exempt if it's registered in 1961. Thought the exemption was for vehicles made before 1960?

No, I don't think it's MoT exempt either. In fact a renewal of the current MoT which is about to expire is part of the deal.
However it is tax exempt as a historic vehicle, presumably having inherited the donor's identity.

Emailed the seller to query it and it isn't tax exempt, hence the new MOT now being part of the deal.

Splash some black paint over anything that doesn't move and stick new seats and wheels on it is hardly a 'full' restoration job is it? More like light renovation to make a quick buck on eBay me thinks.
