What, the narrowboat one? It can't be 15 years since I last saw it, can it? Shocked

The same. So far I have

  • Removed a rodent's nest from behind the dashboard, and another from the heater,
  • Fitted a 1275 MG Metro engine,
  • Fitted front discs,
  • Fitted a rod change (the 850 had a magic wand, which found a good home),
  • Modified the Metro exhaust to fit,
  • Rewired the front end incorporating mods for the new engine,
  • Replaced both rear swing arm assemblies,
  • Overhauled the brake master cylinder,
  • Fitted a proper changeover tap for the twin fuel tanks,
  • Re-routed the handbrake cables,
  • Fitted a brake servo,
  • Unblocked a feed pipe in one of the tanks.

Still to do:

  • Finish the handbrake,
  • Finish the fuel system,
  • Clutch including new master cylinder,
  • Cooling system.

Looking at these lists, for the first time I feel I might be getting somewhere after all! Surprised
Separate thread to follow, when I have some piccies to show.

Last night we got the clocks and lights wired up. It was an interesting bit of electrickery, wiring the bike loom onto car stalks, but everything works well. Smile

Looking good...keep it up! Just one wee question? Will the bike rad work in that position? Can you not get it "more upright" ?

I think so, it's just the same as it is on the Exige (only curved, but I'm sure we can bleed the high spots).
What you can't see clearly on the pic, is the curved wind deflector that sits underneath the rad and channels all the air that enters the nose up through it. Wink
It hasn't got a great big wheel sat in front of it so I'm more than hopeful of it keeping cool.
