Re: Stoneleigh 2012
Sunday Evening.......
I wondered what anyone's feelings were about eating on the Sunday Evening.....
Pub Meal ?
Chinese Buffet ?
Pizza (Pizza Express) ?
Or "self catering" ........
I can make a few calls but I'll need to know rough numbers fairly quickly......
Any thoughts ?
Dave

Re: Stoneleigh 2012
Count us in on what ever you decide. The pub last year was lovely - but we're happy to go with the majority.
BTW - as long as I can figure out how it works i know Colette will have the blown air heating going in the caravan if it's cold so Allison will be able to get in the warm

Re: Stoneleigh 2012
Have to agree with Chaz,
The Pub last year was excellent.
I'll be there, maybe in Walle, maybe not.....who knows...
(Got next week off to work on Walle, suprise suprise forecast shows rain, thunder storms...etc..)
I'll go with the flow...

Re: Stoneleigh 2012
The Mill was brillant last year and I'm up for that, and,as our reputation preceeded us,they even gave us a room to ourselves!

Re: Stoneleigh 2012
I emailed the organisers asking them to make sure that we have enough space.......rather than share it with Northern Motorhome Kit Car Club that turn up with no kitcars and the 5 (on a good day) Minaris that turn up on the Sunday Afternoon.
They've assured me that we'll have plenty of room......
Not sure I can get the "the Old Mill" again......but I look at a few options.
Here one possibility.......

Stoneliegh 2012
It's unlikely that Jan and I will be at Stoneleigh this year.
If we do make it, we would be happy with any of Daves choices.

I do hope you, Jan and the Porta Loo are able to make it John - you will be missed if you are not able to make it.
Re: Stoneleigh 2012
Thanks for that Chaz. I'm sure if we are not there it won't take long for everyone to find another person or caravan to take the p155 out of.SUMB wrote:I do hope you, Jan and the Porta Loo are able to make it John - you will be missed if you are not able to make it.

Re: Stoneleigh 2012
All this extra space this year and it looks like we are going to be a little down on numbers on the Sunday, hopefully we will have a few more on the Monday.Doesn't look as if John H is coming up,still, looks as if it will be a better turnout than Detling (not hard as I was the only one there on the Sunday). Looking to catching up with you lot anyway.

Re: Stoneleigh 2012
I'm getting all exited about Stoneleigh this year.
The new side windows should be finished & ready for the show (flush fit) and i've even started to polish 'K' in the hope that the weather is better than it has been this weekend.

Re: Stoneleigh 2012
Wish I hadn't looked now - MSN ten day forecast for Coventry is :-
Saturday - Light Showers
Sunday - Light Showers
Monday - Showers / Clear
Lets hope the weather men are true to form and have it completely wrong.

Re: Stoneleigh 2012
Yeah but it always rains in Coventry.
I bet the ten day forcast says sunny, sunny, sunny for Leamington Spa
I'm bothered about the howling gales and freezing cold temperatures that afflict Stoneleigh. Apart from last year it's always cold and windy.
Anyway, do you think i should wash the underside of the Scamp especially for the show?

Every where else has either hot weather or cold weather,Stoneleigh just has weather. I think we have had everything at Stoneleigh, brilliant sunshine, blowing a gale, snow, frost, terrential rain, bring it on boys,we're man enough to take it!! Just remember, normally it's Pig & Poultry Fair that follows the kit car show,so,if there's a hurricane,we've got to leave it tidy for the little piggys!!
