Rad grill
Most Mk3's have a series of 50 - 70 mm holes below where your grill is.
Check out some of the pics in the past events etc.

Re: Mk3 Scamp update
I take it from some the above comments that cooling is a slight issue

Re: Mk3 Scamp update
Normal road running with the normal holey Mk3 grill is not a prob.
but
if your going to do some off roading/green laning the slower speeds gets the temp up a bit.
Some of us get around it by fitting oil coolers or/and elec fans
The oil coolers if fitted at the front obviously have ram air cooling. Also the fact you have a greater volume of oil keeps it cooler as well.
Really until you get it going and try it (depending on speeds/distances) then you wont know.
Hope that helps
ps
Does your front grill (and below) come off easily. Most grill panels are only held on by one bolt either side. Alot easier to work on the front bits than the old Mini

Re: Mk3 Scamp update
Thanks for the advice the way I drive I best get the drill out and find that electric fan I have in the back of the garage.
Yes the grill is only held on by the 2 bolts.

Re: Mk3 Scamp update
Rev counters good asthe speedo's are never very accurate due to engine pickup or/and tyre size.
What size engine is in it?

Re: Mk3 Scamp update
Got rev counter. Had plenty of experience with "accurate" Mini speedo's I had a 1000 cc which was quicker then my Cooper if you went by what the speedo said
It's 1100

Re: Mk3 Scamp update
IIRC, Harriet's first visit was before she was even born. Does that count?

Snow forcast for Sunday apparently, don't want a pair of 155 x 12's on Mini rims do you,I bought 4 for my Scamp and they don't clear the rear radius arms.Anyway,it will be good to see it at Brooklands, are you coming along as well Mr.Mutstar?
