Recently returned from this years Tour, and what a Tour !

Only 6 cars this year

2 Scamps and 4 Mini's.

One of the Mini's is a replica of the red Mini HMP 729G, driven by David Salomone and a certain Michael Caine as the passenger ( in real life Michael Caine could not drive ) This Mini was featured in Mini World last October "Pino's Italian Job"

Matthew Field arrived for the Tour in Turin and proposed to his girlfriend Phillippa on the Fiat factory roof on the Monday morning.

First time I have had Champage for breakfast !

Matthew Field is the author of " The Making of The Italian Job "
He is presently working on an updated version with interviews with the stars and new unpublished photo's
He works for a media production company and is at this moment finalising a deal with Paramount to hold a big Italian Job event in Turin in 2012.
