IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
The IMM is now very close, those who have booked with me on the block booking should now have their numbers. Those who did not book with the block booking, and wish to join us in the camping area, if I can have your IMM number's I will email them to the organisers and they will be grouped with us. I havn't got a clue as to what it's going to be like when we get there, but my guess is that your number should stipulate where you will be camping. We should be arriving about lunchtime/early afternoon on Friday, I have the club banner and my big flagpole so hopefully you should be able to find us. If there is anybody that want's to meet us before we go in then it might be an idea to meet at a motorway services, or something similar, as close to the event as we can find.

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
The club we booked with have been told that it's first come first served. The organisers are not keeping or allocating camping space for any club. The first there from our lot are finding a space they want within the campsite area and making sure they keep a big enough space for everyone that's arriving and camping together over the weekend.

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
They say they will be allocated, but once the pressure goes on and the ques (?) at the gate get bigger than it will prob all turn into rat s**t.
Thats why i will be arriving at lunchtime on the wed when the gates open with my Dracula stakes and tape to mark our our piches.

How bizarre. Two completely different sets of instructions. As long as there's space for our tent somewhere I don't care!

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
This is the message I've just got from the person who booked our club tickets:
All I can gather is that we have to grab a pitch as early as possible, and guess the size we will need,.... that's why we're going early so that we have a fair chance of getting a big enough pitch.
I have read that if you have booked with a club but want to camp in the family area you can do that, but that basically it's first come first served otherwise. We have 15 tents and a marquee between us - wish us luck.

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
Each person who books gets a 6m X 6m pitch.
This is for your tent and car!
If your club wishes to put up a Marque/gazzibo then you have to pinch a bit of space from each of your members.
Thats the rules.
Dont forget the Glow Show on Sat night, the funkey Monkies are organising it.
They wont let me judge, something about being to far to the left of Gengis Khan.

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
Is anyone entering a rocker cover racer? The Japenese are organising it and are giving the prizes. Just put in Rocker cover racers on your search engine and you should find them, you will get the gist by the pictures but not the text (it's in Japanese).

IMM PITCHES
Well,I had an email from the IMM people and they have said there will not be a problem with another 5 pitches for the SOC,so here's hoping,I am expecting organised chaos.Met up with a crowd of those Dutch people at Golden Mini Days at Bewel Water near us,they were heading for the IMM and expected to arrive on Friday (like us). So,should be fun,we now have(or should have)enough pitches for 13 vehicles. If anyone fancies a barbie on Friday evening bring along some bits and and we'll fire one up.I have a small round barbie,if anyone has another one feel free to bring it along.I also have a 3 x 5 gazebo with sides which I wil bring along, hopefully if we squeeze up a bit we should have room.(I am presuming that barbies are aloud?)

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
Hope it's a gas BBQ? No charcoal BBQs or open fires allowed! We've had to borrow a cooker/stove thing to do our cooking on and others have had to source gas BBQs.
We're arriving some time on friday (not decided yet) so will come and find you all when we get there. I presume we'll be looking for a rather large erection?

I am expecting organised chaos.
Hmmm sounds like it ! But I hope not.
6m x 6m per car
Well, we will have tow car, caravan, Scamp & tent......so it going to be tight !
But of course having two cars we'll have twice the space
Seriously, I don't know whether we'll make it on the Friday Night ......
I've got have to some "heavy" Dental work on the Friday afternoon ......so it might be Saturday.
Please save us some space.....

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
Ok, having read the IMM forum re camping together-roping off area-nothing organised-first club member roping off area for everyone else etc.etc, we could do with knowing who is going to arrive first! We could also do with some mobile phone numbers to help us locate each other when we arrive.
I will pm Chris with our contact details. We hope to arrive about the same time as Chris - ie Friday pm. Anyone going to arrive earlier?

If your in need of a good curry or takeaway, ask Jolly... he might own a Disco, but he knows most of the takeaway places in that area. He lives about 1 mile away from IMM....

I thought if we could find you and your lot you'd be able to point us in the direction of the scamp lot!
Blimey...we're there for 4 days. I'm sure we'll find everybody eventually!
Curry and camping? Is that not a very bad combination?

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
Hi Carla
You no doubt saw the Monkies award winning Dr Who stand though.
Left site at 10am, after waiting for it to rain while we packed up, went toMorrisons for a "Fat Sods" fry up.
Got home knackered, quick shower and back to bed by 12.30. Working tonight at 20.30pm.
Just need tomorrow to be clear to air out the tent and repack every thing.
The show, despite the weather, some dodgy organising was damn good and another tick in the box.
Not long until the Scamp Picnic

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
We saw the Daleks, yes. How on earth did you get them up that hill?
Saturday night, we were sat outside the marquee right next to the glow show. That guy in his moke was a nutter. He had that canopy, lampshade on most of the weekend. He was camped opposite us.
We enjoyed it overall but there were certainly a few things that should have been better!
Thinking about Germany next year......anyone else?

Re: IMM MEETING UP & EXTRA PITCHES
Hi Carla
The Daleks split into 3 pieces and are transported in a 5x4 trailer. I had to do 4 trips each way to get then down to the arena (i was the only one with traction) They operate with someone inside sat on a motorised wheel chair. Unfortunately the ground wasnt good enough to get any traction really, they needed knobblies.
They will hopefully be at Stanford Hall.
They Moke lampshade man was a nutter because he was pished most of the time.
