Bramcote open day - piccies
There were a few events happening yesterday but in the end we went to the open day at Bramcote Barracks. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised.
They had a bungee jump from a cage suspended from a crane. Is it a bird....is it a plane....???? Superman had a go.....

Then 3 of the Scots pipe band took it in turns to have a go. First time for me seeing guys wearing kilts bungee jumping.....

While they were in the air the other band members played and did a drum roll as they jumped from the cage!

The Imps motorcycle display team were there too. They were very good.

James was doing ok til he bust it!!

The pipe band did a display too.

All in all it was a really good day out. It's certainly in the calendar for next year.......

Re: Bramcote open day - piccies
It was really nice to finally meet you both after all this time on the forum.
I'm glad you enjoyed the event, it's one I always champion as a damn good British day out and one with a proper fate type feel to it.
And I'm sorry I broke the car before I got the chance to give you both a kickin' Rally Ride.
Sadly halfshafts ain't designed for that kind of abuse.

Ha!
Thats why you weren't at Gaydon on Sunday.
Brill day, no rain and Swifty was up to his usual antics.
This year quite rightly he was back in proper Mini's.
They reckon the attendance was over 700, a few more than 6 weeks ago when we went there with the Scamps

Glad to see Swifty is back in proper cars! About time!
We made the decision not to go to Gaydon this year for various reasons. I must admit, we had a far more enjoyable day at Bramcote!
The weather probably helped attendance at Gaydon this year. It's been awful the last 2 years.
