Just Bought a 72 scamp from Ebay
Hi
This is my first post, I just collected a 1972 Scamp from Ebay, basically in a large pile of rusty bits. The previous owner found it in a barn 5 years ago and then proceeded to take it to bits and leave it in a farm yard for five years to rot.
I need two new seats for the scamp, I assume these are Mini items the old ones have rotted away. Really want to sort these out before it goes for a sandblast in a couple of weeks incase we have to weld in new brackets, does anyone know where to find some in the south of england.
Thanks Mark

Re: Just Bought a 72 scamp from Ebay
Seating all depends on how comfortable you want to be and what you want to (mis) use your Scamp for.
The main problem with seating is how tall you are. There was a running saga on that subject in the Tech part of the forum.
I'm sure that your local scrappy has a variety for you to choose from.
If you really want mini seats, i have two and do travel down to the Swindon area fairly often.

Thanks, we are only 5 miles from Petersfield so I may well give you a call about them are they vinal or clothe?
This is my first Scamp, just fancied one really. I have my own business and Robert Mandry is one of our customers, he was busy telling us about the scamps which is what got me interested.
The one I have bought is in a real mess but hopefully we will get it up and running quite quickly, should be going for a sand blast in a couple of weeks time then we just have to chose a colour.

Robert Mandry
He tends to come into the shop and buy parts from us, we only see him every few months but I might have his telephone number around somewhere. I will have a look in the old phone book at work.
