SCAMP PICNIC

Post  wezgit daan saaf on Sun Aug 13, 2017 7:15 pm

With the years before me being president I was able to witness the stress and the chaos that the organisers had on the Monday of the Scamp Picnic. The clearing up from the BBQ from the night before,to lining up of the Scamps for you to choose the one's for the awards and then the waiting around for the next hour or so whilst the votes were counted. All this indispersed by people wanting to pack away or just play on the off road site. So, last year, as a comittee, we changed the format with the BBQ on the Saturday night instead of the Sunday, the line up and the voting on the Sunday evening, which then aloud the votes to be counted overnight by your comittee, whilst you went away and enjoyed yourselves, and then give the prizes out on the Monday. That, in turn, aloud everyone the time and the space to do their packing away and their playing on the last day. As a result, the feedback we had from the majority was a brilliant one. I know there is one that is apposed to the new format, but we have to go with the majority.
So; the the weekend is as follows;
Saturday; Offroad and BBQ on the Saturday
evening at 6.00 pm
Sunday; Mike's magical mystery tour leaving the site at 10.30
or off roading if you wish.
6.00 pm line up of all the Scamps and voting (votes
will be counted overnight.)
Monday; Offroading,packing away.
Prize giving and AGM at Midday (12.00).
