SCAMPLESS FRED
You no doubt saw my minor thread on Brooklands, well one person who did turn up was a Scampless Fred Howard, and yes,the one for sale on Ebay recently was one that he sold on to some other guy who,in turn, tried to flog it on Ebay.He is in the process of selling his sideways Scamp (the 4x4 with 4 wheel steering - he's a genius this guy!) but without the 4 wheel steering as the new purchaser does not want it.
His latest is that he is helping his mate Barry (a member for some years) with his Mk1 with a different angle on bigger wheels.Instead of cutting the frame about and keeping the subfame in the existing place, moving the subframe forward, and there are also potential plans for a front mounted radiator.Should be interesting to see as anything that Fred seems to produce is done well.
