Morning Scampers
What have you got planned for today, anything nice?
I'm going work in a min, but should be home by 1pm. And then the weekend begins which is just the usual chores really, but with
I think we're going to The Waterman on Sunday for the monthly VX220/Lotus meet if anybody fancies joining us? (Let us know if you do, and I'll confirm tomorrow that we're definitely going).
Must dash,
Elaine.

Re: Morning Scampers
This evening I'm calling a 50th birthday Barn Dance for one of the country dance clubbers.
A bit of a change for me, as I can't teach for toffee, so normally call for clubs where they already have a good idea of what they're doing, so I can get away with some of my favourite cruel and unusual dances. For tonight though the dances must be easy enough for beginners, but not too boring for the experienced dancers. Quite a challenge.

I'm sure you'll love it, Gray!
Sounds brilliant Bob. I bet there'll be a few mishaps along the way, make sure you share them with us!

He got roped into being on the organising committee this year! And I got roped into being official photographer.
Think it went well. The kids aren't the problem - it's the parents!

It went very well. There were a couple of other callers there, and since one of them was much more into barn dance stuff, not to mention being all set up and ready before I got there, I let him kick off. Thereafter, no problems.
I'd managed to select, from my collection of 3000+ dances, a sufficiency of easy ones that the club members hadn't come across before, so they were equally new to everyone. In fact I might well try a few more on club nights, to lull them into a false sense of security before reverting to my usual style.
