We are going to keep the one we have under the bed for a few more years so we can sell it and retire!

Interesting...firstly, when did the MK2 first appear? Don't think it was back in '74....Secondly I still have my original brochure too..including the price list. If anyone is interested I can scan it and e-mail it to them....MK2 basic kit £545 Very Happy

A few little details date it to the Maclean era:

1) Glossy brochure in colour
2) "SCAMP" on the grille in individual big letters
3) Suffix S registration = 1977-8

I can date it as being no earlier than 1978/79… ‘cause the VAT rate on the price list is 15% and in ’74 it was 8% or 12.5%…… so ner, nah, nah, ner ner….. Very Happy

I (Martin) have a photocopy of the three page build manual for my first Mk2, a Scamp Mk2 order form from The Connaught Garage, Brookwood, Surrey which lists the basic kit for £545 and a Mk2 order form from the Scamp Motor Company which lists the basic kit £599 and my claim to fame is that my first Scamp ANJ is in Andrew Mcleans sales brochure.
