as i replacing the framework that makes up the floor im thinking of forming a large lockable storage box in the space between the rear arches, i want to also move the petrol tank into here, probably made from checker plate. has anyone else done this sort of thing?pics would be nice ifso.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm in a similar position with the Nomad but I'm bolting some old ammo boxes to the rear so I can lock my bits and bobs in. Very Happy

From my experience women carry most things in their handbags, so i wouldn't be too worried....

I certainly need to fit a fire extinguisher into walle after my exploits during the last few weeks...Burnt out the wiper motor wiring & got nice & high for a couple of hours Laughing !! On bank holiday monday i managed to burn 2 t-shirts at the same time, along with most of my beard & a little bit of my eyebrows trying to get the t-shirts off affraid ! Be warned, dont wear an old work shirt (covered in oil, soaked in petrol & cellulose thinners), then start the angle grinder up (point the sparks away from your t-shirt, i didn't...) & then remark about how hot the weather is while your t-shirt is on fire Embarassed ! Sheesh it had taken me 15yrs to grow some of those chest hairs....
