CDS tube supplier
If anyone does feel the inclination to make tubular bits for their Scamps... I have found a company that supplies CDS for waaaaaay less than our usual (Petrochem materials) supplier..£9/M versus £16/M . Max length they will ship is 3m

Re: CDS tube supplier
I got the steel to repair Nettie's Florence from steel stockholders on the northen outskirts of Manchester, all new stuff is metric 40 x 40 mk1's were made of imperial 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 38 x 38 and it had round corners, metric has tighter radius corners, difficult to match up, but they had 38 x 38 but still tighter corers but that was good enough match for me, trouble was it was 5m lengths which stick out on your roof rack so I had to take along a saw which I did and pulled out a length and cut the lengths I wanted there and then and it cost me a crisp 20 pound note - bargain I thought - can't remember the name of the place

Hey jono, Wear your anorak with pride...
I could talk about steel & aluminium grades all night.......I'm a designer, or to use the my correct name when sorting out drawing queries "You w#nker".
The age old debate...CDS or ERW ?
Reminds me, my brown nylon anorak needs a clean....need to design a better washing machine !!
Because i use CAD all boring day, i find it easier & cheaper to model up what i want first, see how it looks, then save up to buy the exact amount of steel (usually forgetting to allow material cuts !)
