Hello and looking to buy
Hello all. I’m on the hunt for a mk2 Scamp. I had one when I was 15 that I had to sell before I got it roadworthy. So 25 years later and I’m after another one. I’d appreciate any help you can give me to source one, in any condition.
Thanks
Mike
Thanks

Re: Hello and looking to buy
I’ve done some investigations and it seems the Scamp mk2 that I owed as a kid is still Mot’d and taxed. I’m going to fill in a V888 form with the DVLA to see if I can get the contact info for the current owner. I’ve used this form before for some old vehicles my parents used to own, but I was denied owner information by the DVLA as they said the reason I gave wasn’t acceptable. Does anyone know who owns Q803 GFR currently. It’s a yellow mk2 scamp. Any help would be really appreciated.
Regards
Mike

Re: Hello and looking to buy
I found a video of a vehicle that has the same ref as the vehicle that I owned, but looks very different.

Who owns it now?

Re: Hello and looking to buy
Indeed, Q803 GFR was one of two Scamps (HMD 200K being the other) rebuilt, very successfully, around Peugeot engines. James Worth should be able to give you the whole story.

Hi Mike
A Scamp does keep cropping up your side of the "Sea"
I think people get put off by the ferry trip
Check previous entries in the For Sale page.
Most people use the Faceless Book Scamp group, guess what, I dont!
Best wishes in your hunt.

Thanks Rob. I spoke to Stan in Belfast, but its not the shape of Scamp that I'm looking for, its actually a shape I hadn't seen before. Anyhow, I'd like to find a square fronted MK2 if I can. they seem very scarce.
By the way, I'm with you about Facebook, I'm not on it.
Cheers
Mike

Ye I found the pictures and a video thanks. I messaged RegMonster and I’m waiting on a reply. I spoke to James who did all the fabrication on it and he suggested the Facebook group but I don’t use Facebook.
