Stoneleigh 2020 date change
Following the announcement that the May Day Bank Holiday will be moved to coincide with VE Day celebrations, the confirmed dates for the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show next year are Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May 2020. Camping will be available from the Friday.

The reason why
VE day was 8th May 1945
To celebrate this event we have an extra BH on the Thurs 8th May 2020
Because of this the May BH which was supposed to be on Mon 4th May is now on the Fri 9th May, giving one longer BH weekend.

Yes, this has caused all sorts of disruption due to the short notice. Some weekend events - I'm thinking specifically of folk festivals - are planned, and acts booked, a year or more ahead. I've also heard of couples whose wedding plans have been thrown into turmoil.
Bloody stupid politicians. They have no excuses, after all the change for the 50th anniversary in 1995 was managed OK.
