Most of you who know us will also know my Labrador Poppy.

Always the centre of attention at Scamp Owners Club weekends and much loved by everyone in our circle of freinds. She was very sadly put to sleep on Sunday following a week-long illness that appears to be a viral infection of the liver.

To watch her die in my arms is the worst experience of my life and one I would not wish on anyone.

I'm devastated

Part of me and my family is missing, gone forever.

My solemate.

We were so sorry to hear about Poppy. Our family will certainly miss her. We do know that terrible feeling. Dogs are such a huge part of the family and your Poppy was wonderful.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. They really do mean a lot to us.

Scamping this year is going to be tough I think, especially the holiday and stourport.

We're having a Poppy walk this Sunday. Everyone and anyone is welcome to join us including your dogs. It's mothing morbid, we just wanted to go on our usual walk around the woods at the top of Whitwick, sprinkle her ashes up there and end up at the pub for a toast and a bit of a wake.

If you fancy joining us just turn up at ours around noon.

Again, thanks guys.

Sorry for your loss, you must all be going around in a dream. You automatically go around doing things and then realise you dont have to do them.
Over the years my family have lost various cats, dogs, hamsters and birds, you forget that you have to times their ages by 7.
We also buried them or their ashes in a little copse where we used to walk. The only problem was remembering where you had buried the last one.

As you said the holiday and the picnic will def be quiter, whose going to eat our scraps.

Time heals all Rob
