24 hour endurance race this weekend in Dubai

A member of the SOC namely Daz Harris is here in Dubai with his team RJN Motorsport who have two cars in the race - purpose built Nissan 350Z's and one is being driven by Johny Herbert no less. I hope to meet up with Daz at the track and hopefully get pictures of the cars and the race, not sure if I'll be watching it for 24 hours.

On my return in the morning the black car was still going - where was the white car?


An off on the chicane at 3am! driver unhurt - car write off - ouch!



Back end loose - change shocks and then in again for new driveshaft!


Coupling on dry sump hose leaking - mad dash to replace it and get the car out to finish the race - it did and I beleive it was placed 42 out of 60 something.

All they have to do is pack everything back into the sea container ready to be shipped home.

The weekend did'nt cost me a penny (apart from a tin of Heineken yesterday 30 Dirhams about £5.50 and a couple of coffee's oh and I bought a 24H Series polo shirt) see some of you in February take care all - your President.
