Interesting! But I'd still go for WD40 or penetrating oil as a first resort, then gentle heat (with or without candle), then serious heat + WD40. After that it's the grinder.

Brute force & spot-on accuracy, a never-failing combination.

Incidentally "grinder" includes mini-grinder (e.g. Dremel or Proxxon) when a modicum of finesse is called for.
