When does everyone break up for Christmas?
I 'should' finish at 12 noon Christmas Eve, but we're not yet sure how long for............ We might have to work in between Christmas & New Year.
I know I shouldn't wish my life away, but I can't wait to finish, so we can get on with the MESS.
What are you up to this year?
Elaine.

We finish on Tuesday....after which I'm looking forward to a nice Christmas break, when I will be mostly doing plumbing, concreteing, roofing, drainage work..and other relaxing things! Back to work.. for a rest on 5th Jan.

Re: When does everyone break up for Christmas?
Officially, we finish on Wednesday, then the office shuts down until the New Year, when I retire. In practise, we are likely to shut up shop on Wednesday lunchtime. Then next year I shall pop back in to sort out some outstanding jobs, pick up any e-mails etc.
One of the first jobs at home is to sort out the **** modem on my PC so I can get online: something's disconnected it from the dial-up connection program but no indication what, or why, or what do to about it. The troubleshooting application leads me to a multiple choice question where none of the available choices apply. PC World who sold me the kit in the first place were (predictably) about as useful as the udders on a bull. Oh dear, in the days of DOS it was at least possible to get in and fix these things...

Re: When does everyone break up for Christmas?
No, I've got a dial up connection to tesco.net, but it won't dial out. I'm pretty sure the problem is in the links between different bits of software. You'd think that as a software engineer I should be able to fix it, but to be a Windows expert you have to go on a course for about a month...
